Why Livigno?

Thanks to its high-altitude location, Livigno enjoys reliable snow from late autumn through spring. The village is home to two main ski areas:

Together, they offer 115 km of slopes for all levels, beginners to experts, with modern lifts and impeccably maintained trails. Skiing and snowboarding here is truly top-notch.

Accommodation

Livigno is a remote alpine resort, so prices can be higher than average. That said, there are some affordable options that don’t compromise on comfort:

Getting to Livigno

By Air:

Shuttle Option (Recommended):

Alternative Route (Scenic & Flexible):

  1. Train: Milan → Tirano
  2. Bus: Tirano → Bormio
  3. Bus: Bormio → Livigno

💡 Tip: Break up the journey with an overnight stop in Lake Como, Lecco, Tirano, or Bormio. Both Tirano and Bormio are fantastic spots for activities (more on that below).

Getting Around in Livigno

No car? No problem! Livigno has four free bus routes covering the entire town. The buses run daily from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Conveniently, there’s a stop right in front of the apart-hotel mentioned above. Bus schedule & stops here

Must-Do Stops on the Way to Livigno

1. Bernina Express (via Tirano)
