Luxury Stays: For the Ultimate Roman Holiday
- Radisson Collection Hotel, Roma Antica – Combines historic charm with modern luxury, set in a restored palazzo just steps from the Pantheon and Piazza Venezia. With a rooftop bar overlooking the city, stylish rooms, and a central location.
- Hotel Raphaël – Relais & Châteaux – Tucked just behind Piazza Navona, with a vine-covered faҫade, elegant classic rooms, and a rooftop restaurant with sweeping views over Rome.
- Rocco Forte Hotel De Russie – A five-star oasis near Piazza del Popolo with a lush garden, spa, and elegant rooms. Perfect if you want to pair sightseeing with serious pampering.
Mid-Range Gems: Comfort Meets Character
- Albergo del Senato – A charming stay right next to the Pantheon. The rooftop terrace is a highlight, especially at sunset.
- Tereazze Navona – A charming attic-level guesthouse in the Rione Ponte, housed in a late 19th-century palazzo just steps from Piazza Navona, Castel Sant’Angelo and Campo de’ Fiori.
Budget-Friendly Options
- Jo&Joe Roma – A vibrant boutique hostel housed in a former 16th-century monastery, offering a blend of hotel comfort and hostel atmosphere. Located in the Rione Ponte, it features private rooms, dormitories, and unique accommodations, all centered around a charming courtyard with a fountain.
- Trastevere Glasshouse – A cozy 3-star guest house in the heart of Trastevere, offering free WiFi, air-conditioned rooms with tea/coffee facilities and flat-screen TVs, plus a quiet street view so you can escape the hustle but still walk to lively restaurants and bars.
- Tip: Winter prices can be about half of summer rates, making Rome perfect for a city break on a budget. If you’re visiting in summer, staying in neighbourhoods like Trastevere can help you save a bit too.
Neighborhood Picks: Match Your Style
- Centro Storico (Historic Center) – Stay here if you want to be steps from landmarks like the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain.
- Trastevere – Perfect for those who love cobblestone streets, nightlife, and a bohemian vibe. It’s also home to some of the best restaurants in the city.
- Monti – Trendy, artsy, and filled with cool boutiques and wine bars—ideal if you like a more local feel.
- Prati – Close to the Vatican and quieter than the center, with wide boulevards and great shopping.
- ⚠️ Avoid staying directly near Termini Station — although hotel prices in this area tend to be cheaper and the transport connections are convenient, it’s not the most pleasant part of Rome. The neighbourhood can feel a bit gritty, especially at night, with more traffic, noise, and a higher pickpocket risk compared to other central districts.
